  • All Triumph and Standard Day 2008
In October this year the two classic Triumph Car Clubs in Perth, Western Australia combine their efforts and manage free show of their cars for the general public. This year it was held in the fabulous grounds of St. Michaels Anglican church in Guildford, the first town established in the then "country" WA. As usual around 150 cars from the Triumph Car Club of WA and the Triumph Sports Owners Association of WA were on display. The annual Concours d'Elegance was held concurrently. A great day was had by all. Well done.

  • Retired and loving it

Been retired now since July 2006. Couldn't love life any more if I tried. Bought a caravan and toured up north. Moved to Vic from WA to be near grand children. Life's fantastic!
  • Restoring my 1960 Triumph Herald Coupe

In 2003 my wife convinced me to buy the identical car that we courted in back in the sixties. If I hadn't have done so would have meant two things:

    1. My marriage would have been over, and
    2. The little car would have sent off to the tip as land fill or sold to be crushed

I couldn't let either of these things happen, so on a rainy day we brought it from where it had been languishing for eighteen months to a mate's place for retoration. The slideshow tells the story - except how much money I ploughed into the project. Still, you can't take it with you, apparantly! I needed a little help from my friends and younger brother.
